From the time your home was constructed to the present date, your home has been in someone’s legal possession – and recorded so with the City.

Pulling together this list of owners, along with the date of each conveyance, develops a property’s lineage, a continuous “chain” of ownership also known as a “chain of title.”

We will research your property’s lineage from when it was constructed to the present date, giving you that list of consecutive ownership particular to your property.

Since some houses are older than others and, therefore, require more research (i.e., visits to more than one location), our rates vary slightly:

For houses constructed in 1895 or later, we charge a flat rate of $250 for this service. For houses constructed before 1895, our rate is $375.
